Certification Study Group
GAMSS offers a certification study group open to all members taking either exam, (each certification study group offering is dependent upon a minimum number of registrants). Instructors from around the state to help members on all aspects of the exam.
Study group participants will be responsible for acquiring their own study book from NAMSS. Proof of purchase will be required to participate in the course. To get the book go to the NAMSS website: http://www.namss.org/ (search for CPCS® Professional Development Course Workbook.
Interested in taking the exam, but your institution cannot help you out with financial assistance? Apply for the Certification Exam Scholarship which will reimburse the cost of the exam upon successful completion (a passing score) of either the CPMSM® or the CPCS® Examination. Certification Exams
NAMSS offers two certification programs that provide a proficiency benchmark for healthcare organizations. The Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM)® and the Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)® credentials are awarded to successful certificants who have completed educational components and testing that include: principles of credentialing/recredentialing; accreditation standards; legal principles of credentialing; healthcare definitions; management of information; principles of hospital and managed care organizations; and administration and management. Fall Testing Period
Application Deadline – Friday, July 29, 2022
Final Application Deadline (with late fee) – Friday, August 19, 2022
