Position Title: Credentialing & Licensing Specialist
Location: Atlanta, GA
Description:

 MEDICAL LICENSING & CREDENTIALING SPECIALIST

• Responsible for all aspects of the licensing, re-licensing, credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging processes for all medical providers who are employed by or contracted. • Responsible for ensuring provider's licenses and credentials with state medical boards and hospitals are obtained in a timely manner. • Maintain up-to-date documentation of the status of all applications for each provider in the L&C databases and online systems to ensure timely renewal of licenses, certifications, and hospital privileges. • Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers. • Completes provider licensing applications & state renal applications as needed; monitors applications and follows up as needed and documents progress daily. • Completes provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; daily monitors applications and follows up as needed and documents progress daily. • Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage, and any other required credentialing documents for all providers. • Maintains knowledge of current CME, board eligibility & malpractice coverage, and any other required credentialing documents for all providers. • Enters and maintains provider information in online credentialing databases and systems. • Tracks expectations for all licensing, credentials & privileges for all providers to ensure timely renewals. • Works closely with our client contacts, providers, L&C managers, and staff to collect all items needed to obtain & maintain all provider licenses and credentials. • Works with various state agencies to obtain & maintain licenses for providers including state medical licenses, DEA certificates & other certifications. • Maintains confidentiality of provider information.

 

Required Skills:

• Must have at least two years of full-time healthcare credentialing experience

• Excellent verbal & written communication skills 

• Strong organizational, interpersonal & critical thinking skills • Ability to evaluate and analyze data and other provider-related problems in order to develop alternative solutions for a positive outcome. • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, manage multiple priorities, and pay meticulous attention to detail. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Required Education:

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree

• 5 or more years relevant experience

• Competent in the use of Microsoft software products Other Skills/Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to endure large volumes of data entry & information management

• Strong time management skills, especially with demanding and recurring deadlines

• Ability to be innovative, establish priorities, and make decisions independently

• Capable of handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately

• Keen Attention to detail and critical thinking

Salary: $40k - $45k
